Thanks for posting these, you're the second person (that's not me) to start discussion here :)
Since there aren't that many people on this community yet, what do you think about just making a weekly esports megathread instead of multiple separate posts? I could pin the new post every week.
Edit: Like an "LCS Summer 2023 Week 1 Megathread"
Hi, I think you moderate here right? When trying to subscribe to the community it stays pending, and I didn't find a way to check if this is how it is supposed to work ? Thanks in advance
That's a lemmy side issue because of the influx of users
I feel like people are fans of particular teams, and hopefully each game/match is enough content to be unique. I also don't feel like more content on the, uh... community is a bad thing?
I do wonder if maybe we should just copy more interesting content from elsewhere. Afaik there are no rules against just copying things over.
It depends on how big the portion of people interested in esports is. I know for sure that the subreddit goes overboard, some days the Hot sorting was filled with 20 different esport discussion threads and it was impossible to find skinline announcements and patch notes. If it's 5 per week then that would be a decent upper bound but I don't want to repeat the mistakes of the subreddit.
Agreed, been kinda doing this manually by checking the Spideraxe Twitter and subreddit for anything gameplay related, but it would be great if it could be automated in some way.
