I believe it. That was my first thought when I heard the news. My instantpot is going amazing after 2 years of constant use. I have the air fryer duo model. I have heard the complaints about Pyrex though...glad I have old pieces in my collection. They're not super expensive compared to how many things they can do and replace, so I have a hard time seeing where they get the money from. Now I know, they weren't.

I just got an air fryer model on great discount (lower than msrp) not too long ago. Before that, I had an earlier instant pot that I used well beyond its lifespan, then gave it away to another person.

Hard to have continued profits if your product lasts. But I know which way I prefer that equation.

Yeah, its a shame that it's the way the world goes. Kitchenaid does it well, they have their big ticket mixers and stands and then all the little knick knack crap you need on the side. Alfhough, I have heard the stand mixers are also falling prey to the modern issues of one time use items.
