I'm on lemmy.world using connect and I haven't seen a single porn post? I wonder why we are having such different experiences.

No I don't want to turn off all NSFW because health/fitness and war reporting would disappear too. And it seems OP's problem is that setting isn't working in their client.
Instance blocking is absolutely required for lemmy to function, and hopefully mods will enforce keeping the incels in their own little instances.

I guess I was wrong. They added a feature to see an instances sidebar but not instance blocking.
Strongly agree. It’s a pretty basic feature that would give users a lot of agency over their experience. Apparently memmy has this in the works it just hasn’t been pushed to the App Store yet.

Haven't touched memmy in a couple of weeks but I'll give it another go if it beats voyager and liftoff to this feature.

You can filter out instances with Memmy now, via Settings > Filters
