My biggest takeaway from this is, cat litter comes in boxes?

We get litter from chewy. They deliver it in a box (the regular bag is still inside the box).

oh, a bag, in a box

I was trying to imagine the rigmarole that would come with boxed cat litter..

There are some brands in my area that come in a box for the smaller sizes.

like the posh gourmet cat litter with glitter and sprinkles? Yeh.. Morisson's saver litter for me :D

We settled on Arm & Hammer for our cat. It's middle-of-the-pack litter that works great, has good reviews, and comes in just a box, no liner. Nothing fancy like crystals, nor is it some bougie premium litter like Boxiecat.

But then again I'm in Canada and some provinces here still get milk in bags -- so we're weird like that.

Yeah, I've always thought they come in plastic bags. First I've ever heard of cat litter in boxes.

Paper bags here mostly, but some of the really bulk ones in plastic

I think some brands of clay litter come out used to come in plastic tote thingies. I know this because there was a popular how-to for frugal people to make them into panniers for your bike 😅
