Why does what his base wants matter more than the majority will of the country?
Yeah, that's the point. He doesn't care about Palestinians. Whereas Harris does and is trying to thread the diplomatic needle.

There you go. Trump is not currently in a position to affect policy on Israel and wouldn't lift a finger even if he were, so what does it matter what he thinks?
