8 players crowded on four gamepads playing micro machines2 on sega megadrive
Micro machines was beautiful. Never been able to find anything that quite matched it.
Mashed on original Xbox got close, but never quite scratched the itch. You're also the first person I know who had the megadrive rather than the Saturn.
The megadrive cartrige had the extra two joystick ports built in.
In UK megadrive was orders of magnitude more popular. I think it outsold nintendo too in its day - probably until SNES came out.
