I read this article and I purchased and read the book some time ago...I still have no idea how this is all supposed to come together. It seems incredibly slapdash. I guess I'll just have to arrange a one-shot with my friends, hopefully I can figure it out. I'm confident it's fun, a lot of people enjoy it, but something about it just hasn't clicked with me yet.

Trust to the game system: it will deliver a good time if you do what it says in the book. The few times I've seen Blades be unfun was when people were trying to play it like D&D.
