Banter and chat about the show you are watching - hopefully with everyone else watching the same show, or things will be confusing.

Not a lot of confidence that 10 wont butcher it somehow, but keen as heck to give it a go!

As a kid of the 80s ...

It's A Knockout > Gladiators.

If we are bringing back It's a Knockout then can we have Australia's Wonderland back as well?

Did you ever go to their truck-stop/theme-park? That was one sad looking Uluru.

I did as a kid when it was still a theme park with the massive truck ride etc. Then again a few time to stop for fuel when it was reduced to a large dusty petrol station.

Why? Don't we have enough reality TV shit? FFS way to go at dumbing down the population even more....

Game shows of this sort were around for decades before fake reality tv bullshit. In simpler times when families had 1 screen and 5 or less channels they watched lowest common denominator stuff together. Similar shows were around since the early 60s elsewhere but only took off in Australia in the 80s when we copied a British show.

Our kids were raised almost entirely without free to air tv. These shows will never have the impact on popular culture they once did and I wonder how many viewers and how much revenue they generate. I suspect the bigger Aussie youtubers bring in a bigger audience than most of our local free to air productions. Unless their advertising rates are hugely overpriced it makes me wonder how FTA productions are funded.

I had no idea! It's not like ten don't advertise it twice every ad break
