I don't have much expertise, but reading the article felt poorly based. The fact that some people held some beliefs and were sympathetic to some fascist clauses is not a proof that it was rooted there.

Recent YouTube video mentioned that the reforestation projects in the UK one one hand are good for the environment and biodiversity, but at the same time can harm the country's food security, making it more dependent on imports...

That drive for consumption that you describe is part of the fascist problem. You're not even articulating it, you are just assuming that it must happen. That lebensraum for your tongue. Instead of understanding that consumption has to be reduced.

Eh? What drive for consumption I described? I only said that farmers, which are, at least partially, incentivized to rewild some of lands they manage
