For those still so inclined to check any sniffles for COVID, Melbourne city council is handing out boxes and boxes of free RATs that are set to expire in August. Just go to the customer service office (not the visitor info centre) and they'll sort you out. Better they get used than don't.

I am so goddamn done with today. I’m going to eat my chicken nugs and my mash and my peas and my gravy….and then I’m going to bed

Just noticed there is a Bot Blocker on the aussie.zone registration page. Neat.

Welp.. it has been a day. Suddenly I have flights booked to the US in 7.5 weeks time. Premium Economy baybeeee lessgoooo!

Turns out Citibank got sold to NAB so their excellent debit card is no longer the best option for cash withdrawals overseas. My Latitude 28 Degrees credit card is still going strong for purchases, although I'm reading I might not be able to use it at any venue (food etc) inside a casino which is a bit shit. Been doing research into what's the best for cash now but I'm not loving any option I can find.. RIP Citibank debit card 😭

Unconsciously coloured coordinated my outfit today lol. Usually I’m that oddball but grabbing clothes to wear in this wimdy day, I just so happened to pick black and gray and I’m 😆

Thanks to the DT for microwave potato hype; this tip meant the dinner I made for friends tonight was on time (and delicious) 🖤

This following post is well overdue due to the protest.

Indonesian village life:

  • Chickens everywhere. Sometimes playing games of chicken with motor traffic

  • 5 minute trips turning to 20 minute ones. The extra 15 minutes comes from pulling over multiple times for chats because you just passed a friend or family member

  • Wood fire cooking

  • Motorcycles everywhere

  • Congested 4G mobile internet

  • Greeting almost everyone you pass by. Special emphasis on the elderly.

  • Well water. OR walking to fetch water from a nearby river or creek.

  • Burning rubbish (for waste disposal)

  • Use of water and leaves to clean yourself after shitting (no toilet paper)

  • Groups of kids asking passing truck and bus drivers to blow their (sometimes musical) horns, then cheering them on once they do.

  • More chickens everywhere.

A movie I ordered from eBay more than a month ago finally arrived. Can't wait to watch some Unicorn Wars. It grabbed my interest when I first came across it before.

I'll tell you what, I'm pretty over this seemingly constant cycle of my kids being sick and needing to stay home from school. Too many people in the house all the time make familycalhoon go crazy!

Same here! Mine seem to be at school for a couple of weeks and then home for a week :(

I found the place that makes Sandos and now I’m salivating so much I regret not wearing a dark shirt today.

Decided not to waste the day and took mini peelers to Broadmeadows shopping centre. Aah, suburban shopping centre food court Asian food, how I have missed you! I know some people hate it but it's like the bogan Chinese food of my childhood and I have a soft spot for it when it's tasty. Mmm black bean beef 😋 Got myself a Dr Strange tshirt as well!

Contemplating whether or not I can be arsed cooking, or if I pick up takeaway on the way home

Didn't get back to sleep although I had a nice snuggly doze sandwiched by the kitties.
Decided it was the perfect day to make the congee recipe from recipetineats - with brown rice, yet. Now settled on the couch in my hoodie with a chai latte and a cat.

It's not often I am bored, I suppose I could read a book.
