Source: Collider | 2024.09.26 Lewis Pullman Has Seen Your 'Thunderbolts*' Six Finger Theories [Exclusive]

"I’ve heard about the six-finger thing. But if you look closely, there’s actually no mistakes going on. I actually spent some time because I was like, 'Did they give me a sixth finger?' But they didn’t. It’s just cropped at the right point where it looks like there’s an extra tip happening or something. But that’s about it. I love that."

Pullman had a little bit of fun but also revealed that as funny as it sounds, the "Bob legacy" is something he's proud to be part of. "I’d like to think it might just end here. It might just be a duo of Bobs. Just Bob squared", he said. "It’s a great honor. But they are very different Bobs. Really, their main similarity is that they’re just sharing this gorgeous name."

Pullman then revealed something bigger. He isn't just playing another Bob – he’s representing an entire Bob movement. "Every movie gives you a gift that allows you to immediately connect with certain people, and at least with Top Gun, playing Bob, I’ve met so many awesome guys whose names are Bob," he explained. "They come up to me and they’re like, ‘Dude, thanks for doing the Bob legacy strong.’ And then, you get to talk to people and you have a commonality. I’m very grateful and honored to be a part of the Bobs, in one way or another."

What Did Agatha Do to Her Son, Nicholas Scratch, in the MCU?

Did Agatha trade her son for the Darkhold? A specific scene shows her fear turning into an illusion, and the book replaces her baby, implying a possible deal with a dark force, potentially Mephisto. In the comics, Agatha’s son is Nicholas Scratch, and the MCU leaves his fate open-ended. This scene might lay the foundation for a deeper exploration of Nicholas’ role and potential return.

Is Nicholas Scratch dead or alive in the MCU? Episode 3 suggests he may have died during the exchange for the Darkhold, but some speculate he could still be alive. Given the magical nature of the trade and the MCU’s history of reviving characters, Nicholas might still play a role. His story could be connected to darker forces like Mephisto.

Did Agatha’s son turn into a rabbit or become an Agent of Mephisto? Fans have speculated that Agatha’s pet rabbit, Señor Scratchy, could actually be her son, Nicholas Scratch, transformed by dark magic. This theory is supported by the fact that “Scratch” is a known pseudonym for Nicholas in the comics. The transformation could be the result of Agatha’s deal for the Darkhold, possibly conducted by Mephisto or another powerful entity. Alternatively, Nicholas Scratch may have become an agent of Mephisto, tasked with serving the demon in exchange for power. Both theories draw from comic lore, but the mystery surrounding Señor Scratchy deepens Agatha’s complex character and opens the door for further revelations as the MCU expands its magical universe.

Who is Mephisto? Agatha All Along just name-dropped the MCU’s darkest demon

Mephisto is considered to be Marvel’s version of the devil who rules over the pocket dimension of Hell. The Marvel devil had a hand in making Wanda’s twin sons, Billy and Tommy, after Wanda manifested their existence using her magic and unknowingly used two pieces of Mephisto’s soul to bring them to life.

In Episode 3, Jennifer Kale tells Teen that Agatha’s long lost son could be an agent of Mephisto, so there’s a chance the devil will be the twist villain in Agatha All Along. At this time, no one knows anything about Agatha’s mysterious son Nicholas Scratch, except the fact he’s not around anymore. As Teen is currently under the influence of a spell that keeps him from unveiling his true identity to both the audience and the in-universe cast, there’s a chance he may be Nicholas in disguise.

When Jennifer mentions the fact that Agatha’s son could be working with Mephisto in Agatha All Along Episode 3, Teen looks a bit taken a back. This could be seen as him being shocked that Agatha’s child would choose to work with the devil, or as an admission of guilt, because he’s really Nicholas and currently has a deal with Mephisto.

Just a fun fan casting, Daniel Radcliffe vs Elijah Wood, Harry Potter vs Frodo. Who do you think would fit better as the shorter Logan?

Who would fit better under Wolverine's mask? The costume? The overall look as him? The voice? The rage? Who would portray him better? Seems like they both have the appropriate chin and jaw.

Iron Man’s First Villain is Still Alive- Robert Downey Jr’s Co-star May Return to MCU Soon

Well when I read the script, Obadiah Stane falls into that vat at the end. In the script that I read and agreed to do, they pulled it [the armor] out and they opened it and I’m not there.. We’re not shooting that scene!.. Who knows? It’s all science fiction, and I could maybe pop up again.

Bridges’ comments come at a time when Robert Downey Jr. has returned again to MCU and other projects related to Tony Stark’s legacy like Ironheart and Armor Wars are on the line. Although Downey won’t return as Stark, seeing both on the screen after almost two decades will definitely be nostalgic for the fans.

In an earlier interview with Uproxx, Bridges said the same thing about the end of his character. However, according to Kevin Feige, it was necessary for Stane to die, as he was never meant to be the main villain. Feige told Uproxx,

As you may recall, when he was hired, he was a secondary villain to the Mandarin. And as we were prepping the movie we realized we didn’t want to do the Mandarin in that movie. And when we took him out and made Obadiah the lead villain, Iron Man became what Iron Man became. But what was required is that Iron Monger had to go down into that arc reactor.

Yep, pretty sad. Season 2 is also only 9 episodes because of this and them canning my Onslaught / AoA finale. But Marvel loves shooting themselves in the foot, especially with certain directors and execs pushing their backwards “we know better than the comics” agenda. #xmen97

Yeah, sorry guys. But when Marvel protects a director who openly discriminates against anyone who isn’t like them, writes off Claremont as a old white man who’s stories we shouldn’t be adapting and instead do “our own versions,” what do you expect…

From what I’m hearing, the one director and exec who fought me and anyone else who loved the comics at every turn during season 1 has tossed most of what I had planned out 🤷‍♂️ At one point, the exec was pushing Emma and Logan being a couple 🙄

Marvel sequel plans leaked by fired MCU writer

Beau DeMayo, the ex-showrunner of Disney’s hit animated show X-Men ‘97, has decided to go full scorched earth on the media giant following his recent dismissal. According to Disney’s legal team, the showrunner was removed from X-Men ‘97 following several accusations of sexual misconduct.

As a result, DeMayo was immediately fired from his role (that he was set to reprise for the second season of X-Men ‘97) following a lengthy investigation. Rather than, y’know, not draw attention to himself in the midst of several reports of sexually inappropriate behaviour, DeMayo has instead opted to take to Twitter and spill the beans on everything that he had planned for the show’s next season.

For those not in the know, Onslaught is the literal fusion of Magneto and Charles Xavier, first appearing in X-Men vol. 2 #53 back in 1996.

Robert Downey Jr. Net Worth 2024: From Iron Man, Oppenheimer to Dr. Doom

  • Robert Downey Jr.’s net worth in 2024 is estimated at $300 million, largely thanks to his role as Iron Man.
  • He earned $4 million for his role in Oppenheimer, which won him an Academy Award.
  • Downey's return to the MCU as Doctor Doom comes with a massive $100 million deal.

Robert Downey Jr’s rise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe began with his career-defining role as Iron Man, for which he was initially paid a modest $500,000 for the first movie. After the film’s success, the actor ensured that would take home substantial profits from his future appearances, and by the time Iron Man 3 was rolled out, he earned a jaw-dropping $75 million. As of now 2024, his net worth sits at an estimated $300 million (via Celebrity Net Worth).

THUNDERBOLTS* Poster Detail Leads To Speculation That Marvel Used AI To Create The Image

The one-sheet uses a familiar concept (we've seen it on posters for Inside Out 2, The Hobbit, Sons of Anarchy, and more) of packing the main characters close together as they struggle/fight amongst themselves, but if you look at the left corner where Sentry, aka "Bob," (Lewis Pullman) is wincing due to Bucky's (Sebastian Stan) gun being pushed in his face, you'll notice that he appears to have five fingers and a thumb.

Some have speculated that the character might be supposed to have six digits on his right hand, but there's one shot of Bob holding his arms up in the trailer when the others point their guns at him, and this does not appear to be the case. This doesn't necessarily mean that AI was used on the poster (it could simply be another type of error), but it seems the most likely possibility.

The use of AI is becoming more and more widespread, despite the continued outrage that it causes among a lot of fans and those within the industry. Many feel that the advent of AI as a tool is an inevitability that people are just going to have to accept, but we don't see the majority coming around to the idea anytime soon!

marvel studios thunderbolts trailer Sparks Controversy: Yelena Belova vs. U.S. Agent Undermines Super Soldier Legacy

In a pivotal moment from the trailer, a confrontation unfolds between Yelena Belova, portrayed by Florence Pugh, and John Walker, the U.S. Agent. Despite Walker’s enhancements from the Super Soldier Serum, the scene depicts him struggling against Yelena, who, while highly skilled as a former Black Widow operative, does not possess any superhuman abilities. This portrayal has led many fans to perceive it as an affront to Steve Rogers, the original Captain America, famously played by Chris Evans.

The implications of this portrayal are significant. Steve Rogers has become a symbol of heroism, embodying the ideals of bravery and resilience that the serum was designed to enhance. By depicting Walker as struggling against an unenhanced human, the trailer risks undermining the very essence of what it means to be a super soldier. Fans are rightfully concerned that this representation diminishes the legendary status of Steve Rogers and the sacrifices he made.

Who Is Bob? Thunderbolts* New Character & Secret Identity Explained

In Thunderbolts*, the character of Bob is actually Sentry. Sentry is from Marvel Comics and is an incredibly powerful superhero, often considered the Marvel version of Superman. Based on the Thunderbolts* trailer, it is fair to say that Bob does not exude this same power. However, given that Thunderbolts* is centering on a team with little in the way of outright brute force, it seems as though Sentry/Bob will provide the main muscle for the newly formed alliance.

In Thunderbolts*, Bob/Sentry will be played by Lewis Pullman. The actor is known for movies such as Battle of the Sexes, The Strangers: Prey at Night, and, more recently, Top Gun: Maverick. Some TV appearances saw Pullman play roles in Outer Range and Lessons in Chemistry. Initially, The Walking Dead star Steven Yeun was cast as Bob in Thunderbolts* but had to depart the project for scheduling reasons, with Pullman being hired in his place.

Captain America: Brave New World’s The Leader Actor Was ‘Heartbroken’ Over Possibly Not Rejoining The MCU (But Says Long Wait Had A Silver Lining)

"Being brought back into the MCU by [Marvel producers] Kevin [Feige] and Nate [Moore] and Kyana [F. Davidson] to be a villain alongside Giancarlo [Esposito] against Anthony Mackey has been a great honor. It’s been a really interesting adventure. I was heartbroken when it seemed I wasn’t going to come back as The Leader, but now I’m glad it took 16 years because it’s made the character more interesting."

"And I’ve gotten to do a lot of other great stuff during those 16 years that maybe wouldn’t have come my way if I had played the lead villain character in a Hulk sequel two years after Edward Norton’s Hulk. I loved working with Edward and got to direct Edward in a movie right after that [2009’s Leaves of Grass], so not to take a panglossian attitude toward all this, I still do think it all happened in the best possible way, even though there was a lot of despair associated with the intervening years."

Sebastian Stan claims it has become “convenient” to criticise Marvel

During a recent conversation with Variety, the MCU star suggested that it has become “really convenient to pick on” Marvel movies. “And that’s fine. Everyone’s got an opinion,” he added.

However, Stan went on to suggest that the superhero series is integral to the ecosystem of Hollywood. “They’re a big part of what contributes to this business and allows us to have smaller movies as well,” he stated, “This is an artery traveling through the system of this entire machinery that’s Hollywood. It feeds in so many more ways than people acknowledge.”

The actor admitted to sometimes feeling “protective” over the product “because the intention is really fucking good.” Stan continued, “It’s just fucking hard to make a good movie over and over again.”

AGATHA ALL ALONG Promo May Contain A HUGE Spoiler Relating To Aubrey Plaza's Rio Vidal

The teaser features footage from an upcoming episode (possibly 5), as Agatha and her makeshift coven attempt to contact a spirit with the use of a ouija board. "There's someone here with us," says Harkness, before spelling out D-E-A-T-H. Plaza has already confirmed that there is a big "reveal" relating to her character, and there are several theories out there, including Mephisto, Morgan le Fay, Blackheart, and... Lady Death! In the comics, the personification of Death is a cosmic being who has interfered in the affairs of mortals on several occasions - most notably while being courted by Thanos. She can take any form, but often manifests as a skull-faced woman in a robe quite similar to the one Rio donned when she attacked Agatha in the first episode.
